Isaiah 27:8-10

⁸ You contended with them ^[a]by driving them away, by ^(A)making them forlorn.
With His fierce wind He has expelled them on the day of the ^(B)east wind.
⁹ Therefore through this, Jacob’s iniquity will be ^(C)atoned for;
And this will be the whole fruit of the ^(D)turning away of his sin:
When he makes all the ^(E)altar stones like pulverized chalk stones,
When ^[b]Asherim and incense altars will not stand.
¹⁰ For the fortified city is ^(F)isolated,
A ^[c]haunt ^[d]forlorn and forsaken like the desert;
^(G)There the calf will graze,
And there it will lie down and ^[e]feed on its twigs.
